The Association Of Spiritualists And Healers
Incorporating: The Association Of Spiritual Healers
& The Academy For Spiritual Healers
We are called ASH for short - and we are a friendly, informal Healing Sanctuary and Spiritualist and Healer Training Centre. We like to feel as if all members belong to a happy family in which we are all united in our desire to develop our Spiritual and Psychic gifts. Whether you are interested in Reiki, Spiritual Healing, developing your psychic gifts, improving your talents as a medium, clairvoyance, clairaudience etc., tarot, crystals, we have something for everyone.
WHEN DID ASH START?
ASH was officially established in April 1989. We had started as a small group of twelve people that met at a private home and numbers had increased to the extent that we had to find premises suited to accommodate the growing numbers. For over two years we hired two rooms at a local community centre firstly to continue with our teaching, meditation and discussion group. Within a few weeks we extended our activities to hold regular weekly Divine church services, with clairvoyance on a Sunday, and holding evenings of clairvoyance, as well as our regular weekly discussion group and Circle meeting. In addition we offered spiritual healing one afternoon each week and after church on Sundays. We unfortunately experienced a fire at this community centre whilst a meeting was taking place, and this resulted in its closure. We transferred to first one Community Centre and then another in Erdington, and led a nomadic existence until 1993. The exorbitantly high fees requested for room hire and the fact that the centre we used was continually being vandalised and our congregation was diminishing rapidly led to another move and we started to hold meetings at our residential address at ASH House, Erdington, Birmingham. Where we remain today.
Because many people involved wanted to develop the healing aspect of Spiritualism we chose the name Association of Spiritualists and Healers as the most representative of our work and our aims. |
